ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,746,493, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to Samsung Biologics Co. Ltd. (Incheon, South Korea).
"Filter unit" was invented by Joo Soung Kim (Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) and Ja Hyun Goo (Gyeonggi-do, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a filter unit, including a frame fixed along a perimeter of an opening in a wall, a housing connected to the frame to form an inner space, a cover plate installed on the frame to cover the inner space, and a filter box provided with a filter and installed in the inner space."
