US Patent Issued to RTX on Sept. 8 for "Mixed acid anodization" (Connecticut Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,452, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Mixed acid anodization" was invented by Lei Chen (South Windsor, Conn.) and Mimi Nguyen-Vu (Berlin, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are methods of anodizing a metal component. In the methods an anodization bath includes an organic acid."

The patent was filed on Nov. 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/936,447.
