US Patent Issued to RTX on Sept. 1 for "Acoustic wave assisted chemical vapor iinfiltration" (Rhode Island, Connecticut Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 1 -- United States Patent no. 12,723,306, issued on Sept. 1, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Acoustic wave assisted chemical vapor iinfiltration" was invented by JinQuan Xu (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Ying She (Rocky Hill, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) system comprises a reactor with an inlet for receiving a flow of reactive gas and an outlet for exhausting the flow of reactive gas, and plurality of acoustic wave generators disposed to generate acoustic waves within the reactor."

The patent was filed on Aug. 11, 2023, under Application No. 18/232,983.
