ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,837, issued on May 12, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Flexible flange design" was invented by Pedro Rivero (Miami), William Blickenstaff III (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.), Peter Milligan (Gray, Maine) and Angela Reisch (South Portland, Maine).
