ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,540,552, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Airfoils with axial leading edge impingement slots" was invented by Jaime G. Ghigliotty Rosado (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) and Brandon W. Spangler (Vernon, Conn.).
