ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,580,247, issued on March 17, was assigned to Rivian IP Holdings LLC (Irvine, Calif.).
"Battery pack apparatus" was invented by Brandon Thayer (Aliso Viejo, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The apparatus can include a first member defining a first channel. The apparatus can include a second member defining a second channel. The first member can be configured to interface with a first side of a battery cell and the second member can be configured to interface with a second side of the battery cell."
