ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,695,080, issued on July 28, was assigned to Rivian IP Holdings LLC (Irvine, Calif.).

"Battery cell and components thereof" was invented by Ki Tae Park (Santa Clara, Calif.), Soo Kim (Fremont, Calif.) and Hyuksang Park (San Jose, Calif.).
