ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,997, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to RIVERFIELD INC. (Tokyo).
"Force sense notification device and force sense notification method" was invented by Kotaro Tadano (Tokyo), Yasushi Tanaka (Tokyo) and Teruyuki Nishihara (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A force sense notification device includes a speaker and a control device that receives a measurement signal indicating a magnitude of a force exerted on a surgical instrument, generates sound information based on the magnitude of the force, and outputs the sound information through the speaker."
