US Patent Issued to RIKEN on Oct. 20 for "Spider mite repellent" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,765,559, issued on Oct. 20, was assigned to RIKEN (Wako, Japan).

"Spider mite repellent" was invented by Yutaka Arimoto (Wako, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A spider mite repellent comprises at least one oil selected from the group consisting of olive oils, olive pomace oils, and partially hydrogenated high-oleic rapeseed oils as an active ingredient."

The patent was filed on Jan. 24, 2022, under Application No. 18/262,406.
