US Patent Issued to RIBOMIC on July 7 for "Aptamer for IL-21 and use thereof" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,674,170, issued on July 7, was assigned to RIBOMIC INC. (Tokyo).

"Aptamer for IL-21 and use thereof" was invented by Kazuteru Aoki (Tokyo) and Marie Mitsui (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides an aptamer that binds to IL-21, an aptamer that binds to IL-21 and inhibits the binding of IL-21 and a receptor thereof, and an aptamer that binds to IL-21 and contains a nucleotide sequence represented by the formula (1): CGRYKACY wherein R is A or G, Y is C or U, and K is G or U."
