ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,628,816, issued on May 19, was assigned to Restoration Biologics LLC (Flagstaff, Ariz.).

"Storage solution including an aqueous culture medium and methods of preservation of live allografts" was invented by Suzanne M. Tabbaa (Flagstaff, Ariz.), William D. Bugbee (San Diego), Jonathan M. Page (Mount Juliet, Tenn.) and Farshid Guilak (Clayton, Mo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A live tissue storage solution is formed of an aqueous culture medium including additives, inorganic salts and nutrients. The additives preferably include amino acids including but not limited to L-Arg, L-Cys, Gly, L-His, L-Ile, L-Lys, L-Leu, L-Met, L-Phe, L-Ser, L-T...
