US Patent Issued to Renovo Resources on Sept. 8 for "Treating produced water for beneficial reuse" (Pennsylvania, California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,139, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Renovo Resources LLC (Irvine, Calif.).

"Treating produced water for beneficial reuse" was invented by Brad Biagini (Wexford, Pa.) and Lnsp Nagghappan (Irvine, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Produced water is pre-treated to remove oil and solids. After pre-treatment, the produced water is distilled to produce a brine and a distillate. The distillate is processed to reduce a concentration of ammonia and a concentration of volatile organics present in the distillate.
