ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,448, issued on April 21, was assigned to REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Porous self-healing polymer matrix for encapsulation of active macromolecules and methods" was invented by Steven P. Schwendeman (Superior Township, Mich.), Jason Albert (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Rae Sung Chang (East Brunswick, N.J.) and George A. Garcia (Dexter, Mich.).
