US Patent Issued to Rambus on July 14 for "Domain-selective control component" (North Carolina, California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,681,662, issued on July 14, was assigned to Rambus Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Domain-selective control component" was invented by Michael Raymond Miller (Raleigh, N.C.) and Dongyun Lee (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A control component implements pipelined data processing operations in either of two timing domains bridged by a domain-crossing circuit according to one or more configuration signals that indicate relative clock frequencies of the two domain and/or otherwise indicate which of the two timing domains will complete the data processing operations with lowest latency."
