ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,564,215, issued on March 3, was assigned to R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. (Winston-Salem, N.C.).

"Paper sheet filter element for a smoking article, and associated method" was invented by Balager Ademe (Winston-Salem, N.C.), Paul Stuart Chapman (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Wesley Steven Jones (Lexington, N.C.).
