ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,549,218, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to QUALCOMM Inc. (San Diego).
"Coexistence mechanisms between ultra-wideband non-ultra-wideband" was invented by Ebraam Adel Khalifa (Ottensoos, Germany), Marco Papaleo (Bologna, Italy) and Michael Alexander Ruder (Pommelsbrunn, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives one or more beacon signals from one or more ultra-wideband (UWB) infrastructure access points and transmits, to one or more non-UWB network nodes, an interference mitigation message based on reception of the one or more beacon signals....
