US Patent Issued to Provention Bio on March 3 for "Methods for treating type 1 diabetes" (Maryland, New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,565,529, issued on March 3, was assigned to Provention Bio Inc. (Red Bank, N.J.).

"Methods for treating type 1 diabetes" was invented by Francisco Leon (Bethesda, Md.) and Ralph Raymond (Red Bank, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are a method of treating type 1 diabetes (T1D). In some embodiments, such method can include administering to a subject in need thereof a 12-day course of teplizumab at a total dose of more than about 9000 Mug/m2."
