ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,076, issued on July 7, was assigned to PROBIOTIX Ltd. (Wakefield, Great Britain).
"Lactobactilus plantarum 2830 (ECGC 13110402) for use in treatments" was invented by Stephen Patrick O'Hara (Heslington, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to one or more strains of Lactobacilli and a cholesterol modifying agent (such as an oligosaccharide) for use in modifying the absorption of cholesterol in an individual or the treatment of heart disease, diabetes or obesity."
