US Patent Issued to Precision Planting on Feb. 24 for "Row cleaner diverter" (Illinois Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,557,718, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to Precision Planting LLC (Tremont, Ill.).

"Row cleaner diverter" was invented by Cory Muhlbauer (Bloomington, Ill.), Aaron Herrmann (Tremont, Ill.), John Weigand (Goodfield, Ill.) and Paul Wildermuth (Tremont, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An agricultural row cleaner having: a frame; a first row cleaner wheel disposed on a first side of the frame; a second row cleaner wheel disposed on a second side of the frame; and a third wheel attached to the frame and having a leading edge disposed forward of the first row cleaner wheel and the second row cleaner wheel along a direction of travel."
