ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,601,273, issued on April 14, was assigned to PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA CORP. (Longueuil, Canada).

"Stator vane braze joints" was invented by Piotr Szczesnowicz (Toronto).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stator stage has: at least a first shroud being an inner diameter shroud or an outer diameter shroud; and vanes mounted to the first shroud. Each vane has a mounting foot received in an aperture in the first shroud and brazed thereto. The mounting foot has a periphery with texturing. Braze material joins the texturing to a surface of the associated aperture."

The patent was filed on Aug. 30, 2024, under Application No. 18/822,005.
