ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,308,434, issued on May 20, was assigned to POSTECH RESEARCH AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (Pohang-si, South Korea).
"Fast-charging, high-energy, flexible lithium-sulfur batteries based on hierarchically ordered sulfur particles and preparation method thereof" was invented by Moon Jeong Park (Pohang-si, South Korea) and Han Eol Kang (Pohang-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a cathode active material for a secondary battery, comprising a poly(S-co-VPA) vulcanized polymer, a preparation method thereof, and a lithium-sulfur secondary battery comprising the same."
