US Patent Issued to Pinedo Nursery on June 23 for "Carissa plant named 'Lemon Twist'" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. PP37,478, issued on June 23, was assigned to Pinedo Nursery Inc. (Ontario, Calif.).

"Carissa plant named 'Lemon Twist'" was invented by Oscar Pinedo (Ontario, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new variety of Carissa named 'Lemon Twist' which exhibits striking green and lemon-yellow variegated foliage, becoming green and cream as the season progresses, is disclosed."

The patent was filed on Feb. 5, 2025, under Application No. 19/045,887.
