ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,553,907, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Perosphere Technologies Inc. (Danbury, Conn.).
"Whole blood control sample systems and method of preparing and using the same" was invented by Xuan Jiang (Clarksburg, Md.), Lirong Chen (Clarksburg, Md.), Yongchen Wang (Rahway, N.J.), Dardan Osmani (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Stefan Zappe (Danbury, Conn.), Randy Byrd (Inman, S.C.) and Sasha H. Bakhru (Ridgefield, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The preparation and use of systems to provide surrogate whole blood controls using coagulation modifiers to simulate human whole blood in coagulation assays are disclosed."
