US Patent Issued to Paramount Bed on June 2 for "Bed system" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,642,723, issued on June 2, was assigned to Paramount Bed Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Bed system" was invented by Masakazu Harada (Tokyo), Wataru Kasai (Tokyo) and Kunitika Sasaki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bed system includes: a bed main body; a side rail provided on the bed main body; a driving unit configured to drive the side rail; a first detector configured to detect a motion of a user on the bed main body; and a controller configured to control the driving unit based on the motion of the user detected by the first detector."
