ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,490,026, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Paragon GmbH & Co.KGAA (Delbrueck, Germany).
"Loudspeaker" was invented by Tim Brueggenkamp (Ennigerloh, Germany), Michele Pontillo (Paderborn, Germany) and Dirk Olszewski (Paderborn, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A loudspeaker has a sound-emitting surface or diaphragm and a loudspeaker driver for exciting the sound emitting surface or diaphragm. At least two voice coils of the loudspeaker are operable independently of each other and are constructed and arranged to excite different surface portions of the surface or diaphragm of the loudspeaker."
