ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,084, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to PANASONIC HOUSING SOLUTIONS Co. LTD. (Osaka, Japan).

"Sensitive membrane and gas sensor" was invented by Atsuo Nakao (Nara, Japan) and Atsushi Shunori (Osaka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sensitive membrane includes: a membrane body containing a sensitive material; and a plurality of conductive particles included in the membrane body. The membrane body is expandable when adsorbing an analyte. An M1/M2 ratio of a mass M1 of the sensitive material to a mass M2 of the plurality of conductive particles is equal to or less than 0.4."
