ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,371, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Ospedale San Raffaele S.r.l. (Milan) and Fondazione Telethon (Rome).

"Compositions and methods for haematopoietic stem cell transplantation" was invented by Claire Latroche (Milan), Luigi Naldini (Milan) and Maura Manzi (Milan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Use of CD47 and/or C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) for increasing engraftment by haematopoietic stem and/or progenitor cells (HSPCs)."
