US Patent Issued to One Cast Tackle on March 31 for "Fishing lure" (Minnesota Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,588,666, issued on March 31, was assigned to One Cast Tackle LLC (Maple Grove, Minn.).

"Fishing lure" was invented by Joshua Daniel Borovsky (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Bennett Dale Johnson (Parkers Prairie, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A housing that is intended to spin on a fishing lure shank and designed to hold blades. The housing can be reusable by incorporating mechanical means that enable the user to swap out blades of different styles, colors, or shapes. There is a hollow tube that runs the long distance of the housing that could be of different cross-sectional shape than the fishing lure shank it is spinning on."
