US Patent Issued to OCCAM BCI on Sept. 1 for "Wearable sensor" (Portuguese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 1 -- United States Patent no. 12,721,564, issued on Sept. 1, was assigned to OCCAM BCI INC. (Middletown, Del.).

"Wearable sensor" was invented by Andre Filipe Marques-Smith (Almada, Portugal) and Ana Montero Horas (Almada, Portugal).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Broadly speaking, embodiments of the present techniques provide a skin-conformable and compact wearable electronic apparatus for monitoring physiological and/or brain signals of the wearer."

The patent was filed on Nov. 8, 2022, under Application No. 17/982,706.
