ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,240, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Predictive color image processing" was invented by Gopal Triplicane Venkatesan (Mountain View, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to process image data. In at least one embodiment, a neural network is trained to perform demosaicing of two-dimensional image data obtained from an image sensor."

The patent was filed on Aug. 31, 2021, under Application No. 17/462,575.
