ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,580,844, issued on March 17, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Network multicasting using alternate sets of directives" was invented by Glenn Dearth (Groton, Mass.), Nan Jiang (Sudbury, Mass.), Mark Hummel (Franklin, Mass.) and Richard Reeves (Quechee, Vt.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to multicast a transaction to a group of targets. In at least one embodiment, a set is selected from alternate sets of directives associated with the group of targets, and the transaction is transmitted to the group of targets in accordance with the selected set."
