ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,259, issued on June 30, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Multiphase pumped cooling system for data center thermal management" was invented by Ali Heydari (Napa, Calif.) and Yaman Manaserh (Vestal, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system includes a cooling loop including a multi-phase pump disposed downstream of one or more cold plates to pump a two-phase coolant in a combined liquid and vapor state from the one or more cold plates to a condenser downstream of the multi-phase pump."

The patent was filed on Aug. 4, 2023, under Application No. 18/230,587.
