ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,664,377, issued on June 23, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Text string summarization" was invented by Neilesh Chorakhalikar (San Jose, Calif.), Manas Joshi (Pickering, Canada), Arunachalam Arunachalam (Austin, Texas) and Baber M. Shaikh (Redmond, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to summarize a plurality of text strings. In at least one embodiment, one or more machine learning structures are used to generate a summary of a plurality of text strings based, at least in part, on an association between one or more words in a text string and one or more words with similar meaning."...
