ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,675,379, issued on July 7, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Job rescheduling using a dynamic number of processors" was invented by Abhijit Prakash Paithankar (San Jose, Calif.), Suryanarayan Ramamurthy (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Arpit Singh (Cupertino, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to adjust a number of processors to be used by software. In at least one embodiment, as a result of a failure of one or more processors of a first group of processors, software performed by this first group of processors to be restarted, using a second smaller group of processors."
