ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,530,270, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Frequency adjustment for processors" was invented by Sreedhar Narayanaswamy (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Benjamin D. Faulkner (Los Altos Hills, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques adjust a frequency at which a processor operates. In at least one embodiment, a frequency at which a processor operates is adjusted based, at least in part, on different cores of the processor performing one or more identical instructions."

The patent was filed on Sept. 6, 2022, under Application No. 17/903,959.
