ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,578, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Neural network training technique" was invented by Vishwesh Nath (Nashville, Tenn.), Dong Yang (Pocatello, Idaho), Holger Roth (Rockville, Md.) and Daguang Xu (Potomac, Md.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to identify objects within an image. In at least one embodiment, objects are identified in an image using one or more neural networks based, at least in part, on neural network outputs ranked according to uncertainty values."
The patent was filed on Sept. 16, 2022, under Application No. 17/946,997.
