ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,499,525, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Visual property determinations using one or more neural networks" was invented by Varun Jampani (Nashua, N.H.), Mark Boss (Lowell, Mass.), Kihwan Kim (Campbell, Calif.) and Jan Kautz (Lexington, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatuses, systems, and techniques are presented to determine visual properties of an object. In at least one embodiment, shape and visual properties of an object can be determined using differently illuminated images fed to a pipeline of neural networks."
