ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,751,837, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to NuVasive Inc. (San Diego).
"Interfixated vertebral body replacement and insertion methods" was invented by Byron Riemhofer (San Diego), Thomas Sweeney (San Diego), James Lee (San Diego) and Scott Lish (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Implants and instruments for providing an ideal trajectory for the insertion of instruments and screws during implantation of an interbody implant in a spinal surgery are disclosed."
