ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,762, issued on April 7, was assigned to NUtech Ventures (Lincoln, Neb.).
"Plant fiber biocomposites" was invented by Chin Li Cheung (Lincoln, Neb.), Mark Alan Helle (Lincoln, Neb.) and Avinash K. Both (Lincoln, Neb.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This document provides hemp fiber biocomposites and methods and materials for making and using hemp fiber biocomposites. For example, hemp fiber biocomposites that can be used as a hydroponic growth medium are provided. Methods for making hemp fiber biocomposites also are provided."
The patent was filed on Aug. 12, 2022, under Application No. 17/887,172.
