ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,300,395, issued on May 13, was assigned to NuScale Power LLC (Corvallis, Ore.).
"Servicing a nuclear reactor module" was invented by Ross Snuggerud (Corvallis, Ore.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for servicing a nuclear reactor module comprises a crane operable to attach to the nuclear reactor module, wherein the crane includes provisions for routing signals from one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module to one or more sensor receivers."
The patent was filed on April 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/305,036.
