US Patent Issued to NTT Research on Dec. 2 for "Post-quantum collision resistant Hash function" (New Jersey Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,489,636, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to NTT Research Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

"Post-quantum collision resistant Hash function" was invented by Mark Zhandry (Princeton, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for creating a quantum-secure hash of an m-bit input are disclosed. The disclosure relates to the first statistically hiding post-quantum commitments and post-quantum succinct arguments (of knowledge) under the same assumptions.
