ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,641,653, issued on May 26, was assigned to NTT DOCOMO Inc. (Tokyo).

"Terminal for performing initial access" was invented by Daisuke Kurita (Tokyo), Hiroki Harada (Tokyo), Tomoya Ohara (Tokyo) and Satoshi Nagata (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In a case of using a different frequency band that is different from a frequency band including one or a plurality of frequency ranges, a terminal sets an initial access channel configured with a smaller number of resource blocks than in a case of using the frequency band. The terminal transmits an initial access signal via the set initial access channel."
