ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,870, issued on June 16, was assigned to Novozymes A/S (Bagsvaerd, Denmark).

"Microbial lysozyme for use in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease" was invented by Soeren Kjaerulff (Holte, Denmark), Marianne Thorup Cohn (Nordhavn, Denmark) and Nanna Ny Kristensen (Bagsvaerd, Denmark).
