ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,597, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to NOVA CHEMICALS (INTERNATIONAL) S.A. (Fribourg, Switzerland).
"High density polyethylene for rigid articles" was invented by Vinod Konaganti (Calgary, Canada) and Marcelo Yamane (Calgary, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition comprising a high molecular weight, chromium catalyzed ethylene copolymer (also referred to as a polyethylene resin), a nucleating agent and zinc oxide."
The patent was filed on April 6, 2021, under Application No. 17/915,553.
