ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,684, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Northeastern University (Boston).

"Oligonucleotide-polymer miktoarm conjugates and methods of use" was invented by Ke Zhang (Natick, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Monodisperse structures with precise numbers of polymer arms and oligonucleotide chains conjugated to a backbone are disclosed. The structures, referred to miktoarm conjugates, are resistant to nuclease degradation and are capable of regulating gene expression in the absence of a co-carrier."
