ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,891, issued on April 7, was assigned to Nissan North America Inc. (Franklin, Tenn.).
"Under-seat storage system for a vehicle" was invented by Xin Shuang Li (Farmington Hills, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A storage system configured for connection to a seat in a vehicle and including: a bracket that is configured for connection to the seat; a storage compartment that is configured to accommodate at least one personal article; and a fastener that is configured to connect the bracket to the storage compartment such that the bracket extends between the seat and the storage compartment."
