ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,404,575, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to NIPPON STEEL Corp. (Tokyo).

"Hot-stamped product" was invented by Takashi Doi (Tokyo), Kenji Kobayashi (Tokyo), Naomi Inatomi (Tokyo), Yuki Suzuki (Tokyo), Soshi Fujita (Tokyo) and Masahiro Fuda (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hot-stamped product with improved delayed-fracture resistance is provided.
