ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,404,209, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS Co. LTD. (Shiga, Japan).

"Laminate" was invented by Masahiro Hayashi (Shiga, Japan) and Kosuke Kawamoto (Shiga, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A laminate according to an embodiment of the present invention includes at least one glass sheet and at least one resin layer, a relative dielectric constant of the glass sheet at 25deg C. and a frequency of 2.45 GHz being 5 or less, and a dielectric loss tangent of the glass sheet at 25deg C. and a frequency of 2.45 GHz being 0.003 or less."
