US Patent Issued to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS on March 17 for "Glass material" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,144, issued on March 17, was assigned to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS Co. LTD. (Shiga, Japan).

"Glass material" was invented by Futoshi Suzuki (Otsu, Japan) and Tadahito Furuyama (Otsu, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a glass material having a high light transmittance in a short wavelength range and easily producible. A glass material contains, in terms of % by mole, 5 to less than 30% Pr2O3 and 0.1 to 95% B2O3."
