ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,813, issued on April 14, was assigned to NIKE Inc. (Beaverton, Ore.).

"Swim cap" was invented by Austin J. Orand (Portland, Ore.) and Kyle Schepke (Portland, Ore.).
